Bullet-proof your RANGER Raptor and Bronco shocks with TSW Off-Road’s new 6061 Billet top hat kit! This kit is the perfect solution to the weak points seen with factory strut mounts (top hats).

Typically, with substandard OEM valving, the top hat can rip or break. Our new kit converts to an FK bearing and upgraded materials. Pair this with a TSW shock rebuild and Bravo valving for a complete solution.

Installation Process:

1. Preparation: Ensure the vehicle is securely lifted and supported. Remove the wheels to access the strut assembly.
2. Top hat preparation: Add Red Loctite to tapered hex bolts, and install into top hat. You will only use 3 holes per top hat- Gen 1 and 2: smaller 10mm holes. Gen 3: larger 12mm.
3. Remove Factory Strut Mounts: Carefully disconnect the strut assembly, COMPRESS SPRINGS and remove the factory top hats. Install rubber isolator in new top hats. Clock the rubber isolator in the same position as the OEM top hats.
4. Install Billet Top Hat Kit: Replace the factory top hats with the TSW Off-Road billet top hats. Ensure the FK bearings and stainless steel misalignments are properly seated and coated with anti-seize.
5. Reassemble Strut Assembly: Reattach the strut assembly to the vehicle, ensuring all components are securely fastened Torque shaft nut to OEM spec. The “TSW” logo should be centered, and facing out.
6. Check Alignment: Verify that the strut assembly is correctly aligned and that all suspension nuts/ bolts are properly torqued to spec with blue Loctite.
7. Final Inspection: Double-check all connections and components for proper installation. Reinstall the wheels and lower the vehicle.

NOTE:

Loctite must be used on threads of top hat and shock shaft nut.

Anti seize is recommended for bearing/ misalignments  

Factory nuts will be reused (Use blue Loctite)

Torque shaft nut and top hat nuts to factory spec.
